Parkland: A Season for Giving

At last evening’s PHS Band/Chorus Concert we sold our last 30 or so CDs and currently have no inventory left!  However, today we put in one last “emergency” order to the duplicator: sometime Tuesday we should be getting 40 more CDs and THAT will be it.

If you’ve thought about getting this disk but still haven’t, don’t wait longer than early next week.  Stop by the Music Tech lab (A120) and see Dr. Watson.  Maybe this video of Andrew singing his original song, THE MEANING LEFT BEHIND, from the “Season for Giving (2011)” CD will win you over and move you to buy the CD!

We just got our second shipment of 85 more CDs in yesterday. As of this morning there are only 26 left. We hope to sell all or most of those between sales tables following two concerts tonight (SMS 6th Band and OMS 7th/8th Chorus). In other words, by tomorrow, we could be all sold out!

Last night Mike and Brian Tom set up an AWESOME sales table for the PHS 11th/12th Grade Chorus, Chorale, and Orchestra Concert! We sold about 60 CDs putting us past the “break even” point in terms of our expenses for producing the CD. In fact, we now officially have at least a couple hundred bucks to donate to Valley Youth House (our charity).

We still have about a week and a half to sell CDs in school and at several more district winter concerts. If you haven’t bought yours yet, do so soon. Quantities are limited.

The “official” launch date for sales of the 2009 Parkland: A Season for Giving holiday CD is Wed., December 2 when we release the CD to the Parkland community at a morning Coffee House event co-sponsored by the Performing Arts Club. We hope you will consider attending to have a cup of your favorite hot beverage, listen to tracks from the CD, and take home a copy or two as the perfect holiday gift for family and friends. The CD will be on sale in Parkland High School’s room A120 from Dec. 2 through Christmas, and at most school district secondary winter concerts as well.

However, IF YOU CAN’T be at any of these events, OR YOU’D JUST RATHER buy the CD online, guess what? YOU CAN! Beginning today (Nov. 17) the CD is available for purchase online at www.amprds.com – just click on the Parkland CD graphic. You can also order the CD by phone by calling 856-667-1667 (just ask for item #AMP 29186).
