About
Each fall the Parkland High School Music Production class, taught by Dr. Scott Watson, produces a full-length CD sold in the Parkland community during the month of December to benefit a student-selected charity.
This year, proceeds from sale of the CD will go to the ALLENTOWN RESCUE MISSION.
The CD features PHS students and staff performing songs composed and/or arranged by PHS music students, as well as a few other special selections. All the music is recorded, mixed, and produced by students using multi-track recording software and a variety of other gear in our Music Tech Lab (PHS A120).
From start-to-finish, creating, performing/recording, and producing the tracks for the CD takes just under a month! It’s a busy but rewarding few weeks.
